Differential Calculus
Differential Calculus: An Introduction
Differential calculus is a subfield of calculus concerned with the study of rates at which quantities change. The primary object of study in differential calculus is the derivative.
Derivative:
The derivative of a function provides the rate of change of the function's output with respect to its input. In simple terms, it measures how sensitive a function is to small changes in its input.
Mathematically, if ( f(x) ) is a function, its derivative, ( f'(x) ), at a point ( x ) is given by:
The notation ( f'(x) ) is read as "f prime of x."
